Description: One Day Snook and Redfish Tournament.
The Ronald McDonald House vision is “A strong mind. A strong body. And a safe, supportive place to grow. These are the things every child needs-and deserves- to have”.
By Creating, finding, and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children, the Ronald McDonald House is working to better the lives of children and their families around the world.
With the support of the RMHC, our local Southwest Florida Chapter, a global network of more than 180 independent local chapters in 47 countries- as well as hundreds of thousands of passionate and caring people- collectively we have awarded more than $400 million dollars in grants worldwide towards our mission to make an immediate and positive impact on as many children as possible
With that said, we would like to invite you to participate in the 6th annual McFlats invitational to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida. We have worked diligently to create a fishing tournament that is like no other; full of great people, great fun, and a cause that touches the hearts of every man and women in the world- our children.
Through our first 5 years of the McFlat’s Invitational we have been able to donate nearly $230,000 the local Southwest Florida Chapter; with these donations we are able to provide the appropriate necessities for families during a time when they need it most; at night, when it’s time to go to bed, not everyone is able to sleep. Moms and dads are often kept awake by worries about a child's health and the financial responsibilities associated with their child's illness. With all of this on parent’s minds, the last thing they want to worry about is the drive home or where they will be able to go to rest and the Ronald McDonald House provides just that- a home away from home where families can sleep, eat, and share experiences with families that are dealing with the same hardship. Our Local chapter is located right on the property of Health Park near the Children’s Hospital and provides the parents with a place to go while keeping their children near by.
Our local chapter services 5 counties (Charlotte, Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Collier) and with our fast growing area we are also running out of space; currently we have 6 rooms in our local house and with the growing population it is inevitable that we will not be able to provide support to as many families that may need it. We are currently planning on expanding our house to 12 rooms and the McFlat’s Invitational is going to provide a very positive impact on these plans as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our cause and we are very hopeful that you will participate in our event. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Tim Frederic- Co-Chair
Mitch Williamson-Co-Chair
